What is Neuropathy?
Neuropathy is the dysfunction of peripheral nerves mostly occurring in the hands and feet. The condition usually affects the sensory nerves. These are the nerves that send messages to the brain about our surroundings and sensations. They provide feedback to the brain about the environment. They let you know if you are touching something hot, cold, or possibly sharp. This is why it is an obvious hazard when these nerves malfunction. Physical symptoms of neuropathy include pain or numbness in the extremities. Neuropathy has many causes. It is usually a manifestation of a greater issue, such as diabetes, autoimmune disease, spinal stenosis, and many other conditions.

We offer a variety of treatments for the symptoms of neuropathy. We use a machine called Neuromed Electro Analgesic Delivery System to deliver mild electric stimulation and enhance circulation in the affected area and significantly reduce pain. We also use a cold laser in order to treat damaged nerve endings and inflammation. Nutritional Supplements are an option to target possible underlying causes of the neuropathy.
