Many times car accidents are difficult to avoid. Below are some helpful tips that might help decrease injuries.

According to the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, over 45% of people with chronic neck pain attribute there condition to a past car accident. Headrests are designed to reduce the effects of whiplash injury to the neck if they are adjusted properly. Headrests prevent the head from going over the back of the car seat. However, if the headrest is low it will not prevent the head from going backward. The headrest should be adjusted so that the top of the head is even with the top of the headrest. It is also beneficial if the headrest can be adjusted forward to decrease the distance between the head and the headrest.
